Join our photo workshop in Xishuangbanna's breathtaking tropical rainforest.

This workshop aims to create "rainforest guardians," empowering participants to appreciate and protect this precious ecosystem through their photography.

 

Leave with extraordinary images and a profound connection to nature and culture.

You will explore lush terrains and encounter magnificent wildlife, including Asian elephants. Delve into Xishuangbanna's vibrant cultural heritage while learning about crucial conservation efforts.

The journey is hands-on and authentic from trekking with Kino tribe hunters through dense jungle to participating in rainforest restoration.

Immersive experience involving elephant care, and community interaction.

Participants will gain practical skills in wildlife, human interest and landscape photography, with daily workshops and feedback sessions designed to enhance your techniques and artistic vision.

 

Capture the spirit of the rainforest and its inhabitants, from the smallest insects to the grandest trees. Engage with local communities to understand their traditions, lifestyles, and the challenges they face in preserving their environment through photo story telling.

 

The workshop fosters a deep respect for nature and cultural diversity, encouraging participants to become advocates for conservation through their art. By the end of this journey, you will not only have a portfolio of stunning images but also a deeper appreciation for the interconnectedness of all living things.

Day: Narrative in conservation and cultural preservation.

Day 2: Saturday, 23 November 2024

Location: Dai village visit; cultural immersion

Day 3: Sunday, 24 November 2024

Location: Asian Elephant Conservation Center

  • Full fees must be paid on prior to the start of the workshop​

  • Maximum Participants: 8 participants

  • We reserve the right to cancel groups with less than 4 participants, participants will be given a full refund.

  • We reserve the right to change or alter the program advertised.

  • Cancellations. We will reimburse all the registration costs except for a 10% of the costs for administrative fee, if you inform us of cancellation at least 20 days before the first day of the Workshop. Beyond this time limit, we will charge the following: 50% of the cost if cancelled between 19 and 5 days before the workshop commences. 100% of the cost if cancelled on the 4 days before the workshop commences.
